Proofreading

The quality of the translation depends in particular on the quality of the source text. For this reason it is essential that the source texts are optimised by a proofreader before translation.

We offer two different proofreading packages:

Standard check:

  • Spelling
  • Hyphenation
  • Numbers/units of measure

In-depth check:

  • Style (text adaptation for the target groups, reading flow, consistency, marketing suitability, etc.)
  • Formatting and layout optimisation
  • Country-specific adaptation (e.g. German for DE/CH/AT or English for GB/US)
  • Terminology consistency (comparison with terminology list or reference document)

Digital services

On our online portal at translation.dogrel.com you can easily and conveniently order new translation projects. You also have access to the following useful tools and information:

DOGREL Termcontrol:

If a company wants to impress the market, every word has to be just right. Consistent use of appropriate technical and company-specific terminology ensures trust and credibility. With DOGREL Termcontrol we have developed a powerful tool that enables you to access your translated specialist terms online – and also to make any corrections where necessary.

DOGREL Proofing

With DOGREL Proofing, all review cycles and approval processes become simpler and more efficient. The documents requiring review are uploaded to an online platform. The proofreader then receives a link, can check the content online and add comments directly in the browser. This saves time and money, adds transparency to workflows and makes it easier to track progress.

DOGREL Tracking

With large translation projects in particular, it is especially important for processes to be well defined and to have a clear overview at all times. This is why we have developed DOGREL Tracking – the practical online platform for ordering, tracking, monitoring and processing translation projects. This reduces time and cost outlay and makes processes noticeably more efficient.

Translation memory systems

All translations are carried out with translation memory systems (TMS). Every translated sentence is stored in a database. When a new translation is required, any sentences that are already in the database will be automatically pre-translated free of charge. This can have a significant impact on translation costs over time.

Artificial intelligence

We use neural machine translation tools (NMT) as the first step in the translation workflow. This is followed by careful revision (post-editing) by our team of translators who check the text for comprehensibility, style and terminology consistency. The result is faster translations in impressive quality and at attractive prices.

Personalised customer service

Despite our digital workflows, we attach particular importance to personalised customer service. One of our experienced project coordinators is available as a central point of contact for you and your translation projects throughout the process. When we start working with you, a suitably qualified main translator is selected for each language for your translation jobs. Backup translators are also appointed for support or to step in to cover absences.

DOGREL is a certified translation service provider in compliance with DIN EN ISO 17100. This enables us to achieve the highest quality standards in the translation industry.

Translation Management

Four-eyes principle

The four-eyes principle involves a two-stage translation process:

  • 1. Translation by a specialised translator
  • 2. Review by a second specialised translator

This procedure ensures a higher level of quality in terms of terminology, consistency, oversights etc. We recommend this workflow for texts with high quality requirements that are aimed directly at the end customer (advertising brochures, websites etc.).

Data security

Since we translate a large number of confidential documents, we take the topic of data security very seriously. All texts are only processed in-house and by our established team of translators. We are also happy to sign customer-specific confidentiality agreements upon request.
